BURNED TO DEATH
OLD MAN IN WHARE COMPANION IN HOSPITAL. NAPIER, May 19. An old man, supposed to be William Smith, was burned to death in a whare at Clive at a late hour to-night, and a companion who lived with him was admitted to the hospital suffering from burns. No further details are available. INJURIES PROVE FATAL WELLINGTON BOARDINGHOUSE FIRE [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May .19. Gilbert Martin, aged 44, a single man working as a professional golf coach, who was severely burned in the outbreak of fire yesterday in a boardinghouse on the Terrace, died to-night in hospital.
