A NEW WHARF
UP-TO-DATE STRUCTURE PROGRESS OF NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR [Per Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, May 19. ' Detailed design of the proposed new concrete Moturoa wharf at New Plymouth were placed before the Harbour Board to-day by Mr G. W. B. Lawson, resident engineer ,and were unanimously approved. The plans are to be submitted to the Marine Department and if they are approved, tenders will be called for the work.
The wharf and sheds are expected to cost in the neighbourhood of £400,000 and will be on most up-to-date lines.
