Miss Megan Lloyd George, in her first political speech at the Women Liberal demonstration at Bethnal Green, supporting’ Major Nathan, a prospective candidate, admired his courage in coming alone to the women’s meeting. She said: “Hitherto men have had everything their own way, but women say ‘No further!’ Men have always admitted that women outwit them and are now going to outvote them. Men are becoming nervous.”
