NEW ARMAMENTS RACE?
GERMAN HINTS CONFERENCE REGARDED AS A FIASCO Received April 28, 10 p.m. (The Times) LONDON, April 28. The Berlin correspondent of the Times says that all parties criticise the disarmament conference as a fiasco and a pitiful spectacle. The Nationalists declare that Germany’s claim for a general reduction of armaments, following disarmament in accordance with, the Treaty of Versailles, has been ignored, and recall Herr Gessler’s statement that either the others must disarm or Germany must re-arm.
