EIGHTEEN BRITISH STARS BEPLY TO CEITICISM Received April 28, 11 p.m. '(A- & NJZ.) LONDON, April 28. The management of Covent Garden Opera House has written to the Press pointing out that ther c are 18 British artists singing important roles at the I forthcoming season. The management points out that ; operatic artists’ contracts are usually printed in the language of the opera in which they ar e appearing.
