MINISTERS TO GO

LABOUR PARTY’S DECISION NEW SOUTH WALES CABINET # Received April 17. 5.5 p.m. (A and N.Z.) SYDNEY. April 17. At the Labour conference the industrialists, who gained control of the conference, granted Mr Lang dictatorial powers and instructed him to reconstruct Cabinet by sacrificing Messrs Mutch, Fitzgerald and Flannery (Ministers) and the honorary Minister Mr Coates. Mr Lang was also instructed that he must face the electors before he meets Parliament, and will probably ask the Governor to grant a dissolution in August or September. The conference expelled Mr Goodwin, Mr Gillies and Mr Loughlin from the Labour movement. This may influence the Govetrnor to send for Mr Bavin before granting a dissolution, but in any case an early election is certain. Industrialists’ idea is that a rush election will favour Mr Lang.
