HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE Those who like a rapid pace in screen entertainment, and enjoy a comedy of accidents, automobiles and laughs, should see “Red Hot Tires,” which shows to-night at His Majesty’s Theatre. Monte Blue, the hero of the photoplay, tells Patsy Ruth Miller, who plays opposite him in the feminine lead—‘ ‘ Every time I see you something happens.” And Monte does not exaggerate matters at all. The first time he sees her he is so’struck by her loveliness that he collides with ft steam roller. The next time his horse 'is frightened by her roadster and she has to rush him to a hospital, fearing he is dead. Together they go to jail, and enjoy imprisonment because of their flirtation, which blossoms into a love that sends him after her in hot puri suit when she is kidnapped; and makes ; him forget he is frightfully afraid of motor cars when he learns of her danger. The supporting feature is ‘ ( Out of the Storm,” featuring Jaeequeline Logan. The programme also shows on Tuesday night. “Th® Bat” What should be the finest programme i'submitted this year at His Majesty’s [ Theatre, shows for throe nights, com- : mencing Wednesday. It is a triple proj gramme, and embraces “The Bat,” the 1 well-known mystery drtama, which made , such' a sensation us a play throughout : the Dominion, but which never came to ■ Wanganui. The supporting feature is : Rex Beach’s ‘ 1 The Barrier ’ ’ and little [ Jackie Cilark, an Australian boy, aged ■ seven, appears in impersonations, songs I’ and dance. The prices for this extra pro- ’ gramme are as usual, and would-be patrons are advised ‘to book.
