NO LENIENCY

FOR DRUNKEN DRIVER CAR SALESMAN IN TROUBLE [ Per Press Association. ] DUNEDIN, Jan. 21. Donald O’Hara, a motor salesman, was fined £9 and prohibited from driving for being intoxicated in charge of a car. In answer to a plea for leniency the Magistrate said that the offence was aggravated by the fact that defendant ’s occupation was selling cars, which involved much driving. It was a question of public safety and no leniency could be shown.
