Jackson and Co., held their fortnightly stock sale at their Raetihi yards on Friday. There was a yarding of 2000 sheep, mostly ewes in lamb, and a good yarding of cattle. Sheep did not met with as keen competition as at previous sales, but the bulk of the yarding was disposed of before the close of the day. Cattle, if anything, were slightly.better and practically a total clearence. Prices realised were as follows: —Mixed sex lambs 14s; small ditto 10s; culls 9s 4d; m.a. ewes, in lamb to Romney rams, 235; good s.m. ditto, 17s 2d, 18s, 18s 6d, 19s and 20s; poorer ditto, 14s lOd, 15s, 15s 9d; Cull ditto, 12s 6d to 13s; small two-tooths, in lamb, 235, to 23s 6d; better sorts 255; forward j cows, £4 17s 6d; light fat cows £5 ss; empty ditto, £2 ss; 2 year heifers, £2; 20 months steers £3 13s Gd; small 24 year steers £4. There was no football played at Raetihi on Saturday on account of the i various teams playing away from home.
