LAYING THE DUPLICATION WORK PROCEEDING NORMALLY. NOTHING MORE FROM CANADA. Received February 13. 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 13. The Australian Press Association is authoritatively informed that the position with reference to Canada and the Pacific Cable Board is unchanged. The Board has authorised Mr Cook and Sir James Allen to interview the Hon. Larkin, who requested them to prepare a memorandum for dispatch to his Government. The memorandum is being prepared. Meanwhile, everything relating to the duplication of the cable is proceeding normally, in accordance with the, authorisation by the Imperial, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand Governments. —Aus.-N.Z.
