WANGANUI JERSEY CATTLE CLUB.
INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION An enthusiast who is fairly prominent in agricultural affairs called at .the “Chronicle” office yesterday to congratulate the local Jersey Council on their decision to invite Mr A. Griffiths, of New Plymouth, to conduct the deni onstration at Westmere in (he second week in April. Next to Mr Watson, said the enthusiast, there is no better man in the Dominion to-day more able to lecture ; on the Jersey cow. The speaker said ; also that he had some time ago reconi- ; mended the Westmere branch of the Farmers’ Union to get Mr Griffiths to give them a lecture on line breeding of dairy cattle. It is anticipated, then, that the Jersey demonstration and Mr Griffiths’ visit will be looked forward to with great interest.
