BETTER REPORT YESTERDAY PRICES FULLY MAINTAINED [Per Pres*? Association.! AUCKLAND, Feb. 3. At Westfield sale, an average yarding of beef met with a ready sale, last week’s prices being fully maintained. Extra choice and prime ox made 34s per 1001 b., choice and prime 31s to 335, ordinary and plain 26s to 295, prime young cow and heifer beef £1 6s to £1 10s, ordinary 23s to 255, rough 15s to 19s. Sheep.—There was an average yarding, prices being slightly easier. Heavy prime wethers made £1 Ils, medium prime £1 7s to £1 10s, small and unfinished £1 4s to £1 6s, best heavy prime ewes £1 4s, medium £1 Is to £1 3s, light and unfinished 18s to £l. Lambs.—A small yarding sold under keen competition. Extra hetvy prime lambs made 31s. medium 26s to 295, light £1 Is to £1 ss. Calves. —A small yarding sold readily at increased prices. Runners made £4 10s, heavy vealers £3 5s to £3 12s, medium £2 18s to £3 4s, light £2 5s to £2 J 6s, small £1 Ils to £2, fresh dropped 5s to 9s. Pigs.—There was a smaller yarding and prices were subject to a sharp rise. Medium and heavy baconcrs made £1 8s to £4 17s, light baconcrs and heavy porkers £3 15s to £4 3s, medium and light porkers £3 to £3 12s.
