THE UNSPEAKABLE
TURKISH RUTHLESSNESS TO EXTERMINATE CHRISTIANS. FRESH CHAPTER OF ATROCITIES IRAQ CORRESPONDENT MAKES GRAVE CHARGES By Telegraph—Per Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 2, .10.10 p.m. LONDON - , Feb. 1. Under the heading “Tho Unspeakable Turk Again,” the “Daily Chronicle” publishes the first instalment, of four columns, from a special correspondent in Iraq. He. declares that the recent report presented at Geneva touched only the fringe of the subject. The policy of the Turks continues in the spirit of Abdul the Damned, namely, the extermination of all Christian, populations throughout Asia Minor. If, says the correspondent, the original frontier line north of Iraq claimed by the British had been, accepted, there would not have been this fresh chapter of Turkish atrocities to record. Villagers have been forcibly torn from their homes and deported. Money has been confiscated and lives in many cases forfeited. Their womenfolk have been dishonoured. Details and proofs are promised in future articles.
