BRILLIANT FUTURE. U.S. VIEW REFUTED. WASHINGTON. Dec. 8. The former U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain, Mr. George Harvey, wrote in “The North American Review” a most pessimistic and gloomy article on Brittiin’s future, and to-day tho-British Embassy issued a formal repudiation of Mr. Harvey’s views. “We may look ahead to restoration of confidence and credit throughout Europe.” sSlid Sir Esme Howard, the British Ambassador, “and to a reestablishment of European Markets, which should alter, much for the better. Britain’s economic prospects, ami which has already begun to do so to a remarkable degree.”
