ANOTHER UNEXPECTED FALL Received October 23, 10.5 p.m. PARIS, Oct. 22. The franc had a further unexpected fall to-day. It opened at 109.61 and closed at 112.40, FINANCIAL UNCERTAINTY RESPONSIBLE FRENCHMEN ALARMED
Received October 23, 7.25 p.m. PARIS, Oct. 22. The fall of the franc, which closed at 112.15 to the pound, is attributed to increasing anxiety regarding financial prospects. Sellers were mainly Frenchmen, who were hastily buying the. sterling and dollars to cover commercial needs lost the franc should further decline.
