WANGANUI STOCK SALE
GOOD YARDING OF CATTLE PIGS SELL WELL. There was a good attendance of buyers at the Wanganui stock sale yesterday. The yarding of sheep was small, but cattle came forward in larger numbers. The following are the quotations:— Sheep: 94 hoggets, £1 Ils 7d; 60 hoggets, £1 Ils Id; 64 4-th. wethers, £1 14s 8d; 14 fat ewes, £1 14s. Cattle: 2 cows, £5 12s 6d; 2 cows, £4 8s 6d; 2 cows, £6 13s; 5 2-year steers £4 6s; young steers, £4 19s; 33 heifers £3 12s. Pigs: 4 porkers, £2 15s; 5 do., £3 ss; 5 stores, £1 5s 6d; 10 dj., 12s 6d; 5 do., 13s 6d; 3 wcaners, 10s 6d; 1 store, £1 3s; 6 weaners, £1; 8 weaners 13s; 9 porkers, £3 ss; 3 boars, £2; 7 weaners 16s; 9 do., £1 7s; 6 slips £.l 4s; 2 sows, £4 12s 6d; 6 stores, £1 14s; 1 sow, £2 10s; 3 wcaners, £1 ss; do., £1 8s; 3 do., £1 3s 6d; 1 boar, £1 4s; 1 sow, £5 ss; 1 do., £3 3s.
