DEPORTATION OF WALSH REPORTED VERDICT OF BOARD WILL SEAMEN’S UNION RESIST? MELBOURNE, Oct. 21. Union officials at the Trades Hall are perturbed at the report, said to be authoritative, that the Deportation Board recommended the deportation of Walsh, and that the documents only awaited tho signature of Mr Pearce, who is absent in Western Australia. As soon as an authentic report of the board’s finding is reported, the management committee of tho Seamen’s Union will be summoned to determine what steps will be taken to resist d& portation.
