ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION EFFORTS TO BUY AEROPLANE LONDON, Oct. 20. In connection with his forthcoming Antarctic expedition, Lieut. Wilkins has received generous support from Messrs. W. S. Robinson and H. B. Howard Smith and is anxiously awaiting available funds from the Geographical Society at Adelaide t.o enable him to complete the purchase of Amundsen’s aeroplane N 25 on Thursday. Otherwise he will be forced to try later to buy a new machine ontailing an additional cost erf at least £5OOO.
