OUT OF PENTONVILLE

FEAT BY TWO PBISONEBS. ESCAPE FBOM FOUBTH FLOOR. LONDON, Oct. 19. Following the daylight escape of two prisoners at Pentonville less than a fortnight ago while painting the roof of the prison hospittil, one of whom is still uncaptured, a sensation has been created in London at news of the daring escape of two ticket-of-leave men — Arthur Bacon and Sidney Marks—at Pentonville. The men occupied adjoining cells on the fourth floor. Each was possessed of a pair of scissors for the purpose of their work. Apparently they removed some bricks from the wall and crawled through the hole, tied sheets to portions of their clothing, perilously dropped to the ground in the darkness, climbed a twenty-foot wall and escaped.
