GREAT IMPROVEMENTS
IN RAILWAYS AND PUBLIC WORKS. PRIME MINISTER’S AIM. (Special to “Chronicle.’’) OHAEAWAI, Oct. 19. Speaking of railways and public works to-night, Mr Coates claimed that great improvements had been made of late. “It may have cost the country a bit for commissions and so on,” said the Prime Minister. “I don’t care about that, so long as I can give service. It is service we want, and for service we have to pay.”
