WEMBLEY
DEFICIT UNDER TWO MILLIONS STADIUM MAY BE KEPT INTACT Received October 19. 8.45 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 18. Through the liquidation of Wembley has been definitely decided upon, it is still possible that the stadium may be the scene of an annual tattoo if sufficient sporting and other events justify keeping the Stadium intact. Another possibility is that it may be a permanent exhibition, market of British manufactures and machinery, with occasional special shows for certain, classes of goods. Another proposal is that Wembley be utilised for the production of British films, the exhibition building being converted into mediaeval castles, historic mansions, etc., forming a British Hollywood.
It is understood the deficit on the Exhibition will be appreciably less than two millions sterling.
