FORECAST FOB TO-DAY VARIABLE WINDS [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON-, Oct. 19. The following forecast was issued today by Ihc Government Meteorologist: Present indications are for variable winds, but moderate to strong easterlies prevailing, and backing to northerdies, northwards of New Plymouth and Napier, and northerlies freshening elsewhere. Weather fine to cloudy generally, but unsettled conditions following in the West Coast and southern districts. Barometer falling again soon in the south.
