MARTON

“DECAMERON NIGHTS." AT EVERBODY’S ON WEDNESDAY. (From the “Chronicle’s" Special Correspondent.) “Decameron Nights," which is coming to the Marton Town Hall on Wednesday evening is a spectacular film depicting episodes taken from tales of “Decameron Nights" by that gifted Italian story-teller, Boccaccio. It will be rememoered that the book by Boccaccio, “Decameron Nights," was recently barred by the Commonwealth Government from entering into Australia, and this book can now no longer be bought from booksellers anywhere, although Boccaccio’s book has been recognised by all British Universities as being a classic of highest merit. The film version of these tales has been treated in such a delicate, and yet masterful manner that the result is entertainment of the highest value, which will delight those picture-lovers who are fortunate enough to be able to view it at the Marton Town Hall on Wednesday, October 21.
