BOBBED HAIR YOUNG WOMAN

BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR FREMANTLE MYSTERY. By Telegraph—Per Press Assn. —Copyright. PERTH, July 24. A case of suspected murder was revealed at Fremantle when a sack containing the body of a stylishly dressed young woman was found floating in the harbour by two fishermen, who reported to the police. The body was found to be in two sacks tied with rope. It was fully dressed and was that of a woman seemingly about twenty-five years of age with dark brown bobbed hair. The remains were in an advanced stage of decomposition. The face appeared to show traces of a violent blow above the nose, but the post-mortem revealed that the brain was uninjured.

The doctor said that death was not due to drowning but might have been caused by suffocation. By appearances the girl had possibly been dead a fortnight. The police have been advised that Ruby LccWood, aged twenty-one, married, has been missing from her home since July 13, when she left to go to work at her husband’s fruit shop at Subiaco. The missing woman and her husband lived with her people, but relations between husband and parents were strained. When she failed to return home lhe parents asked no questions, but later reported the matter to the police. The father will be permitted to see the body to-day. From the description ho believes it to be that of his daughter.

HUSBAND CHARGED WITH M U RDER. Received Julv 24. 11.5 p.m. PERTH, July 24. The body has now been identified as that of Ruby Leong Yet, the Chinese wife of Leong Y’en whom she married The. post mortem revealed that the victim was strangued and her husband Leong Yen, has been arrested on the charge of murder.
