ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
Following is the result of the examination at the close of the recent class for ladies in First Aid at the St. John ambulance room:— Medallions.—Mesdames Syman, Thomson; Misses Elcock, Soeberg, Lowe, Mayes. Certificates: Mesdames Sheppard and Easton; Misses M. Anderson, L. Haywood, F. Tinnev, M. Calder, E. Ward, AL Ward, K. Madden, J. AfeLaren, L. Palmer, E. Kilner, W. Gordon, E. Marchant, A. Toomath, B. Taylor. The lectures were, delivered by Dr. E. Dunn, and Dr. Hutchison conducted the examination. The < lass was instructed in the practical work by members of the Wanganui Central Nursing Division, under the leadership of Lady Supt. Mrs. E. H. Tawse. A very successful class far men has also been concluded at the St. John Room in connection with the town (men’s) division. Dr. Hutchison lectured to this class, and Dr. Hutson conducted the examination which resulted :is follows: Medallion Labels: F. Patchett and E. Gilberd. Medallions: T. Anderson, A. J. Relph. E. Bridges, L. Patchett, A. Doyle. Vouchers: E. Gullcry and G. Prosser. Certificates: R. Wright, G. Lueock, S. Nolan, A. Irwin, M. White. S. G. Whittail, K. J. Kirk, A. Blair, M. Torwell. An appeal is made to all certificate holders to become permanent members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Now that all three local divisions have undertaken to perform public duty nt Saturday afternoon sports, the officers will be glad to receive additions to the ran ks.
