MEETING OF COMMITTEE A. meeting of tho Wanganui District Boys’ ami Girls’ Agricultural Globs’ committee was held in the Farmers’ Union office yesterday morning. Them were present Messrs E. It was decided that the Farmers’ Union should arrange to print the results of the competitions and circulate them amongst schools and the various committees interested in the matter. It was decided to continue activities next year, and it was agreed that the crops be mangolds (Orange Globe) and carrots (Matchless White). It was further resolved that the size of tho plots be, the same as last year, 1-lOth of an acre. It was decided to recommend to tbo instructors that the carrot seed be mired with manure immediately prior to sowing. Mr Doom pointed out in this connection that competitors would have to exorcise care to see that the. seed did not remain in tho manure for any length of lime, but was merely mixed and planted immediately.
