AUTHOR AND SCIENTIST (Sun Special). LONDON, July 10. Coulson Kcrnahan, the author, a Professor Patrick Geddes have been granted civil pensions of £lOO each. Coulson Kernahan, who is 67 years old, is the author of books which have been translated into 18 languages, into Esperanto, and into Braille type for the blind. Prof. Patrick Geddes holds the Chair of Sociology and Civics Bombay University. He was formerly Professor of Botany at St. Andrew's University. Scotland. He has been active in educational work and town-planning.
