EMPIRE’S GREAT RESOURCES. MORE RAPID SETTLEMENT WANTED. Received June 30, 10.40 p.m. i (Reuter) OTTAWA, June 30. The question of the migration of British ex-service men within the Empire 'was under discussion at Monday’s session of the British Empire Service League. Sir Andrew Russell (New Zealand) and others urged the need for more rapid settlement under the Empire Settlement Act and Captiain Appleby (of Great Britain) promised that the British Legion would select for settlement overseas the most suitable men and all its best women. Sir A. Russell pictured the magnificent resources of the Empire and said that if the British did not avail themselves of the heritage others would. Sir A. Russell, seconded a resolution by Commander Helt, of Great Britain, to appoint a committee to devise mesns for promoting the more rapid migration of veterans.—Aus-N.Z. Cable Assn.
