MOUNTED CAMP AT WAVERLEY

The Mounted Camp now being held at Waverley under the command of Lieut.-Colonel D. Munro is proving a very successful function from a military point. This year excellent work is being done, both by the machinej gunners and the mounteds. The weather has been delightful, quite a contitist to last year’s bitterly cold .week. The camp will conclude on Monday. A special feature of the camp has been the excellent music and entertainments given by the Queen Alexandra Band under Lieut. Buckley. The band supplied all the music for tbc R.S.A. ball at Waverley on Wednesday night, being encored many times over. At the request of the Waverley people the band will give a recital at the camp on Sundtiy afternoon, commencing at 2 o’clock. They will be reinforced by 15 or 20 senior members who are making the trip from Wanganui. A very large gathering of visitors is expected.
