UNIFORM OF ALL BLACKS
SUGGESTED MONOPOLY. A.A.A. TAKES NO ACTION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June I. A meeting of the council of the Amacur Athletic Association to-night discussed a letter from the New Zealand Rugby Union which stated that the Union was desirous of preserving the use of the title “All Blacks” and the silver fern designed costume. It also stated that, if necessary, the Union was prepared to wait on the Minister of Internal Affairs with the view to legislation preserving the costume and titles for amateur sports only. The council was asked if it was prepared to join the deputation. There was a lengthy discussion, speakers being against the proposal of the Rugby Union, which was declared by one speaker to be an attack on League football. It was decided that the letter be received and no action taken.
