DESPERATE STREET FIGHTING

VIENNA, July 7. Eleven were wounded in a street fight between Monarchists and Social Democrats at Klonsternenberg last evening. Monarchist storm troops, armed With revolvers, daggers, bayonets, and clubs deliberately provoked a gathering of Socialists, who, in view of a large number of spectators who were present, endeavoured to prevent a disturbance, but the Monarchists fired some 50 shots into the crowd. They then took refuge in the engineers’ barracks, which so enraged the crowd that they tried to storm it. Order was finally restored.
