Canadian —Quiet. June 21, coloured, 86s to 88s per cwt (9ld to 91d per lb); white, same quotations. A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Mahana. Estimated stocks of cheese on July 1 at London. Liverpool, and Bristol were 113,750 crates, against 15,900 boxes and 34,800 crates respectively for the same time last year. HEMP. Manila market quiet but steady, with sellers “J” Grade, June- August shipments, asking £4O. New Zealand market continues quiet. Highpoints quoted at £37; fair, £35 10s. WOOL. Sales continue; New Zealand sorts selling well to Bradford. PEAS. Blue, —The demand is limited. Japanese shipments about to arrive are quoted at £l9 15s to £2O 10s, c.i.f.; spot, £2O to £2l a ton. In new crop, September-October shipments, business is being done at £2O c.i.f. Dutch, small round handpicked, £2O. Tasmanian A grade, £lB c.i.f., spot value about £2O 10s, best quality only. New Zealand, good quality, worth £l7 to £lB. Maple—English in small supply. “A” grade Tasmanian on passage, worth 72s to 76s per quarter. New Zealand Patridge, No. 1, for shipment, 62s 6d to 655, c.i.f. BEANS. English selling at 47s to 50s per quarter; no inquiries for imported. COCKSFOOT. Business is at a standstill at present, and the new crop is not quoted yet. FRUIT. The Tekoa has discharged, and her shipment of apples, with the exception of Stunners, are in good condition and realising good prices. Tightly-packed Sturmers somewhat badly bruised are causing rot, consequently sellers cannot hold. Prices are 15s 6d to 21s per case; Rokewood, 16s 6d to 23s per case; Dougherty, 16s 6d to 23s per case; Statesmen, 13s Gd to 21s per case. Fairly good supply of Australian apples on hand, and prices average 14s to 21s for Sturmers.
