GERMAN ARMAMENTS
ALLIES’ DEMAND FOR INSPECTION.
LONDON, June 30. Germany has conditionally agreed to the inspection of armaments. (In a Note forwarded to Germany in March the Allies especially insisted: Firstly, that tne police forces must be put on such a footing as cannot be used for military purposes. Secondly, that munition factories must be transformed and rendered incapabie of producing war material. Thirdly, excess war material must be handed over. Fourthly, documents showing war material existing at the armistice and indicating production during the war must be furnished. Fifthly, all necessary laws must be promulgated to prevent the importation and exportation of war material to prohibit recruiting or organisation |of an army in any sense contrary to the Treaty. The Note also emphasised that the International Commission must be given proper facilities for examination.)
