LONDON, June 30. An astonishing case of a woman’s heart continuing to beat after breathing had stopped was described at a* Coroner’s inquest at Westminster The deceased, who was aged flKty-five, suddenly became ill in street, and was admitted to hospital and diagnosed to be suffering from cerebral haemor-

rhage. While being examined her breathing stopped, but the pulse continued. Additional doctors were summoned and artificial respiration and oxygen applied. The efforts to restore breathing were fruitless. For 4i hours after breathing had stopped the heat beat regularly.
