FROZEN MEAT
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, June 28. The Meat Producers’ Board reports that frozen meat shipped from New Zealand in 1923-24 season was: Beef, 176,098 quarters; mutton 1,095,238 carcases; lamb, 3,70:0,468 carcases. The killings at all works were: Beef,. 280,366 quarters; weather mutton, 964,036 carcases; ewe mutton, 854,746; lamb, 4,676,999; sundries, 28 8.432 freight carcases. Stocks on hand at June 15 totalled: Beef, 95,594 quarters; wether mutton, 308,400 carcases; ewe mutton, 4 76,966; lamb, 1,033,002; sundries, 130,273. Stocks loaded into the steamers not departed from New Zealand at the same time were: Beef, 14,144 quarters; mutton, 4898 carcases; lamb.. 32,161.
