AMUSEMENTS. MEETINGS, ETC

ST. PAUL’S BAND OF HOPE. Last Tuesday evening the opening social was held in St. Paul’s Hall, when, despite the wet weather, a number of young people were present. The musical programme consisted of songs by Vera Clark and Ida Burchell; duet by Irene and Olive Mara; and recitations by Ettie Taylor, Joan Oliver and Clifford Dashficld. Gramaphonc selcc.r tions were given and community singing very heartily enjoyed. Several games were played during the evening, and after supper had been handed round the singing of the National Ailthem brought the proceedings to a close. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 8, at 7 o’clock.
