(From Our Own Correspondent.) BANGITIKEI BUGBY UNION. On Saturday Hunterville -and Turn kina seniors meet at Hunterville. (Referee, Mr A. Gordon); and Tokorangi and Marton seniors at Haleombe. (Mr Tau Potaka). The position of the juniors and fourths after Wednesday’s matches is as follows: JUNIORS.
FEILDING HOCKEY ASSOCIATION’. The following team will represent the Marton Girls’ Hockey Club in a Cup match against Carnarvon at the Park to-morrow (Saturday), at 2.15 p.m.:—B. Cummins, L. Batten, I. Gray, M. Tasscll (captain), C Marr, M. Thompson, T. McDonald, E. Thompson, D. Illston, D. Nightingale and M. Wilkie, All players please be on the ground at 2 p.m. sharp. Any player unable to play please notii'y the secretary at once. MANAWATU SHOW. The sheep weight-guessing competition at Manawatu Show resulted:—C. Baker (Palmerston North), B. Eowlands (Feilding), A. E. Harris KarorO, F. Kilsby (Palmerston North), and H. J. Duka, each 2571 bs and D. Buchanan (Tiakatahuna), J. Collis (Kairanga), S. S. McCullen (Rangiotu), H. Cohr (Kairanga) and Jack (Palmerston Norta; each guessing the weight at 256ilbi. The tug-of-war contests on Saturday attracted a great deal of interest. Five teams competed and the several pulls were sood, even ones. Hokowhitu beat Whakaronga, “Hard Luck” (Awahuri) beat “Hopeless” (Palmerston North), Hiwinui beat “Hard Luck,” and in the final were beaten by Hokowhitu.
