VISCOUNT PIRRIE’S DEATH
NEW YORK, June 9. Viscount Walter James Pirrie, head of the firm of Harland and Wolff, shipbuilders, Belfast, died suddenly on Saturday night from bronchial pneumonia, aboard the steamer Ebro, returning from South America. Viscountess Pirrie was with him on the trip. The body will arive on Friday, and will be sent to Ireland aboard the Cedric, sailing on Saturday. Viscount Pirrie left Southampton on March 20th on a visit to South American ports to study shipping prospects.
