AUCKLAND, June 8. The Auckland races were postponed till Wednesday owing to threatening conditions. DUNEDIN MEETING CONCLUDES KIPLING KEEPS ON WINNING. TWO DEAD HEATS. BIG TOTALISATOR INCREASE. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, June 7. For the third day of the winter meeting the weather was fine. The course was in excellent order and the racing again interesting. The tote handled £31,462 10s for the day, compared with £29,549 for the third day lact year, making a total of £96,780 10s for the meeting, compared with £89,452 for last year. Results:— TAIERI HANDICAP. (Of 300 sovs.; If miles). Kukume, 10.4 (Ludlow) * Obligio, 9.3 (C. Emerson) .... • Red Cherry, 9.8 3 ‘Dead heat for first. Also: King Sol, Galway, Bon Skirl, Broughleen Dhoun, Brilliant Hope, Sunny Mac, Beau. Red Cherry was a long neck behind the dead-heaters. Time, 2.15. KING GEORGE HANDICAP. (Of 450 sovs.; 1 mile). Ravenna, 9.5 (Ellis) 1 Radial, 10.6 2 Lady Blissful, 9.2 3 Also: Bonnie Winkie, Clareina, Mantua, Happy Warrior, Askari, Francaise, Vice-Royal, San Salvador, Wapping. Two lengths; length and a half. Francaise was fourth. Time: 1.43 2-5. Bonnie Winkie fell heavily entering the straight and brought down Wapping. A. Mac Kay (on Wapping) was taken to the hospital suffering from a fractured skull and by the evening had shown improvement. Cotton (on Bonnie Winkie) broke a collarbone.

A fund which is being raised on behalf of the dependants of O’Connell, who was killed on the second day of the Dunedin J.C. meeting, has now reached the vicinity of £5OO.
AUSTRALIAN RACING Received June 8, 5.5 p.m. SYDNEY, June 8. The Jockey Club Hurdles resulted.— Les Paddington (Harris) 1, Gindi (Wormaid) 2, Clan Robert (Moon) 3. Ten started. Clan Robert made most of the running. Les Paddington closed up in the straight and negotiated the last fence with Myownbay, closely followed by Gindi and Clan Robert. Les Paddington came away and won by three lengths. Time, 4.24 1-4. First Steeples resulted.—Chrysostum , 1, Palbi, Carawock 3. Nine starters.
Led all the way. Won by four lengths. Time: 4.341 —a record for the race. Ellesmere Handicap.—Duke Napoii 1, Farceur 2, Elkin 3. Eleven starters. BRISBANE, June 7.
