It is generally felt that an early dissolution of the Victorian State Assembly is inevitable, as a result of the Redistribution of Seats Bill, owing to the present strained relations between parties. Both the Nationalist and Country Parties will meet today specially to consider the Bill. It is thought probable that if the Country Party then decides to oppose the measure an early dissolution will follow. A message from Allahabad reports that forty-six persons and hundreds of cattle and antelopes were killed on April 25 as a result of a tornado in Pisani, which is a remote area in the Harboi district of Oudha. It appears that only winds destroyed three villages, flinging men and animals in the air. also uprooting trees. During the early morning of April 27 there was a collision off the Lizard, after which a Norwegian carpenter was missed from the barque Annie, it. being concluded that he was drowned. The man, however, arrvecr at Cardiff on the French steamer Sybil, on to which he jumped at the time of the collision.
