ST. PAUL’S CHURCH

CALL TO REV. JNO. PATERSON, M.A. At a largely attended meeting of St. Paul’s Presbyterian congregation held last evening, it was decided to extend a unanimous call to the Rev. John Paterson, M.A., of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Christchurch. It is understood that the Rev. Paterson will favourably consider the call, and that in due course he will take up the work as pastor of the local St. Paul’s congregation. Air Paterson is stated to*, be a preacher of outstanding ability, and he has come to be well and favourably known to the public in Christchurch during his ministry there. He should prove a worthy successor to the Rev. Evan* R. Harries, and his advent to Wanganui will doubtless be welcomed by the religious as well as the eductional section of the community.
