THE GRAND TO-DAY’S ATTACTTON The Grand management promise an unusually attractive double bill for to-day’s change, at 2.15 p.m. and 7.45 p.m. Hoot Gibson will be seen ia a Western thriller entitled “Shooting For Love,” in which he will display some of those wonderful feats of horsemanship which have made him so famous. The other feature will be "Paid Back,” in which Gladys Brockwell is starred, and is supported by a cast’Tncluding such celebrities as Stewart Holmes, Mahlon Hamilton, Lilian West, Kate Price, Edna Murphy, Arthus Stewart Hall, and Wilfrid Lucas. Supporting pictures include a two-reel Century comedy. Fred Spencer in "Spring Fever,” and the latest International News. Such a fine programme is sure to draw large audiences, and seats should therefore bo booked early at the Grand Theatre office or per ’phone 3152. RETURN OF “ODIVA AND HER SEALS” Clean, clever, replete with enjoyment, and of considerable educational value in Captain Adams’ attraction, "Odiva and Her Seals” which commence a three-night season at the Opera House on Wednesday next. The entertainment is a unique’and varied one, appealing strongly to old and young. It affords a pleasant study Of these lovable and docile amphibians whose sagacity and intelligence is almost human. Odiva is almost as amphibious as her sea's. A graceful and clever swimmer, she is thoroughly at h'JTa in the water and her evolutions both alone ami in cousort with the seals are am mg the outstanding features of the entertainment. “Odiva «»o H»r Seals” are supported a brilliant c.nupany of star 'i.-t'Ks, inc.udlng the fame vs Jubilee Trio, harmonisers of plantation melodies; Verna Bain, in dainty dance creations; Eric Harrison, entertainer; Tom Te Puni, the Maori comedian; Jack Birchley, the indiarubber man; Haynes and Greig, the rascals; the Hilo Duo, Hawaiian instrumentalists: Adelaide Taylor, singer of sweet songs;. There will be a matinee on Thursday next it 2.30 p.m. PSYCHOLOGY CLASS It Is announced in another column that the Psychology Class conducted by Mr. Ernest Mander (under the W.E.A. scheme) will in future meet on Thursdays, instead of Tuesdays, at the Technical College. Fresh students can be enrolled on Thursday evening next at 8.0 o’clock.
