WEDDING
FORLONG—HATRICK. The beautiful little Anglican Church, St. Oswald’s, at Westmere, was the scene of the. marriage yesterday morning of Alexa, fourth daughter of Mrs. Hatrick, of "Virginia,” St. John’s Hill, and the late Mr. Alexander Hatrick, to Eric Robert. eldest son of Mrs. Foriong and the late Mr. Percy Foriong. The Rev. Archdeacon Reeve, ot Wanganui, officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Alex. Hatrick, wore an exquisite frock of pale shell pink georgette, draped on one side and caught .with a large pear) buckle; the frock was embroidered in pearls. She wore a lovely pink veil wreathed with orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of carnations, roses and japonica. Miss Kathrine Hatrick attended her sister. She wore a frock of pale heliotrope georgette trimmed with heliotrope and silver ribbon, and a hat with a large bunch of dull pink roses. She carried a beautiful bouquet of heliotrope and pink flowers. Mr. Arthur E. Porritt was best man. The church was beautifully decorated with greenery and pale pink flowers. The wedding music wa-“ played by Miss Newcombe. After the ceremony ths wedding party motored to "Virginia" for the wedding breakfast. The table, and all decorations, were carried out in pale pink and heliotrope to harmonize with the frocks of the bride and bridesmaid. Masses of the most beautiful heliotrope freezias and pink carnations were used, pink predominating. The wedding cake was also iced in the same colourings. Mrs. Hatrick, mother of the bride, wore a draped frock of black georgette embroidered in steel beads. She wore a hat with touches of white and handsome ospreys, an ermine stole, and carried a bouquet of scarlet berries and anemones.
Mrs. Foriong, mother of the bridegroom. wore mole and mauve satin, handsomely beaded in mauve, with a mauve and mole hat, and carried purple anemones and violets. Mrs. N. Bain, eldest sister of the bride, wore a gown of grey georgette and a black hat with ospreys. She carried a bouquet of violets, autumn leaves and maidenhair fern. Mrs. B. C. Smith, sister of tbe bride, wore black morocain, the skirt being embroidered in pastel shades, a black hat and a white fox fur and carried a bouquet of autumn tints and spring flowers. Miss Burgess, cousin of the bride, wore a navy blue frock and hat, with a handsome squirrel wrap. Misses M. and A. Smith, nieces ot the bride, wore dainty cream velvet frocks with ninon collars and cream velvet hats. Mrs. Keppell Archer, navy’ blue and black satin Coatfrock, navy hat and a bouquet of violets. Mrs. W. Craig, grey georgette and lace frock, scarlet hat and a bouquet of red japonica. Mrs. Reeve, sapphire blue morocain and a fur wrap. Miss A. Jackson, navy blue frock, small black hat. with pink flowers and a bouquet of red japonica. v The gentlemen present were MessrsBain. Smith. Hatrick (2) Burgess. C. Burgess (Wellington), W. Craig, K. Bullock, and M. Foriong. After the breakfast tho happy couple left Wanganui for Palmerston North, en route for Wellington. The bride travelled in a light brown cloth costume, trimmed with fur, and a small brown hat with wings.
