THE BELGIUM STRIKE
NO SIGN OF THE END. LONDON, May 27. The Daily Express’ Brussels correspondent says the railway strike shows no sign of ending. Antwerp alone has suffered the loss of ten millions sterling, Shipping has fallen oft’, and ships are calling at French ports instead of Antwerp. The strike is being conducted good-naturedly. It is both eeonomie and political. The workers want more money, the Socialists want control of the State, and the Government wants law and order. The public supports the Government.
