UNION JACK NOT WANTED

NEW YORK, May 27. St. Patrick’s Cathedral authorities announced that owing to an old parish rule, permitting the display only of the American flag in the Cathedral. the Union Jack will not be permitted to be carried by British veterans, who must not be in uniform during the American memorial day celebrations in the Cathedral on Sunday.

It is understood Irish agitators threatened a serious riot if the Union Jack were displayed in the Cathedral.
