(Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, May 28. The Provincial Conference of the Pelorus Sounds Farmers’ Union resolved that subject to the Dairy Produce Control Act being compulsory, the scheme be supported; that the union call the Government’s attention to the fact that country depositors are faced with much delay and inconvenience in withdrawing money from the P.O. Savings Bank, as country postmasters, although allowed to receive sums from depositors, are not allowed to pay out before giving the necessary several days’ notive to head office, and if some more convenient system could be devised the savings bank and the , people would greatly benefit thereby.
