A FESTIVE CARNIVAL. Whatever the moods of the weather may be during the week 7th to 14th. July, the people of Wellington, and the many thousands of visitors who will dock to the Capital City for Wellington Welcome Week, are assured of a really good time. Although the programme of pleasure is not yet finally arranged, it is possible to announce that the events will include ra • ing, boxing, football, golf, billiards, dances, concerts, and bands. In addition, the shops will have special displays and make great efforts to delight the City’s visitors. An Art Union is also being planned. These items, with many other attractions yet to be announced, will help to create a gala atmosphere for the Empire City and should lure people from ad parts of the 1 dominion.
