AN ALLEGED BURGLAR

(Per Press Association.) MASTERTON, May 18. A series of burglaries perpetrated at three residences at Lansdown resulted in the arrest, at Eketahuna, after an exciting chase, of Jas. Bennett (believed to be an escapee named Hargreaves, alias Nolan, alias Styles, from Waikcrai prison camp last March). When .arrested, Bennett had in his possession jewellery and money corresponding with the sum stolen. Bennett appeared to-day and j was remanded till Thursday.
