TRULY WILFORDIAN
MR MASSEY AND THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 17. At a social gathering held in Lis honour at Petcne to-night, Air Wilford, replying to remarks made about resolutions appearing in the press about rhe Prime Minister’s attendance at the Imperial Conferences, said: Before . every session you will notice through I New Zealand ar. outburst of propaIganda through the Reform press. The r leader of the English Conservatives has ■ just given the leader of th© New idealand Conservatives a testimonial in orI der to make New Zealanders believe | Mr Massey is the only fit representative for the Conference. Wellington 1 Chamber of Commerce and the Waira- : rapa each passed resolutions, moved ‘by Reform’s right hand supporters, adding this propaganda. Those who re- | member T/ord Milner’s wonderful eulogy of our Premier some time ago, wore impressed somewhat, till we read practically the same eulogy of a Cbnserrail ve experimenter in Canada. I want the electors of my constituency to see the value of these made-to-order resolutions, and weigh them accordingly, and remember how resolutions against the Opposition were suggested by circular by Ernest A. James, Reform’s secretary, in days gone by. They have not [ changed.
