BRITAIN TO REMAIN NEUTRAL GERMAN SABOTAGE INCREASING Britain does not intend to alter her policy of friendly neutrality in connection with the Ruhr occupation* so says the Chancellor of the Exchequer. German sabotage is reported to be increasing. The French feave issued instructions strictly prohibiting the importation of alcohol in any form into the Ruhr. LONDON, April 12. The Hon. Stanley Baldwin, in the House of Commons, replying to a question, said the Government bad no intention, as a result of conversations with M. Loucheur, of abandoning the policy of friendly neutrality towards France, and to support her action in the Ruhr. PROHIBITION IN RUHR Received April 13, 8.30 p.m. LONDON, April 13. According to a Dusseldorf telegram, the French have issued an order strictly forbidding the import of alcohol in any form into the Ruhr. GERMAN SABOTAGE BERJJN, April 12. Buer village has been fined fifty million marks and all street traffic is forbidden between eight o’clock at night and six in the morning owing to the blowing up of a neighbouring militarised line.
